bWe Baptist Women for Equality
Shirley Taylor is a life-long Baptist.  She was a ministry assistant in the Church
Starting Center of Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT) for over 14
years.  Shirley and her husband Don have been married for 48 years and have
two sons.  Shirley is committed to promoting women in leadership roles.  
Along with her husband she launched this website in January 2009.

The purpose is to create an awareness of the inequity of women in the
Southern Baptist churches.  By reaching Baptist women and Baptist men it is
hoped that the light will begin to shine through and hearts will be changed.

Remember, the furtherest thing from Saul of Tarsus' mind as he walked down
the Damascus Road was that he might be wrong.
We value women
and their response
to God's calling in
their lives and will
put up no barriers
to women serving
God in the same
capacity as men do.
Now is the time to have Women Deacons and Women Pastors
People who listen, who
respond, and who take
up the cause make the
difference.
